Luponero release new single Tame The Dog
– announce Finland tour with Satan Takes A Holiday
Finnish alternative hard rock trio Luponero return with Tame The Dog, a previously unreleased track and one of two studio outtakes from the recording sessions of their acclaimed self-titled debut album. The single is available today and offers a new glimpse into the creative storm that shaped the album. It will also be featured on the Deluxe Edition of Luponero, set for release on September 30th via Icons Creating Evil Art. The expanded edition will include another studio outtake and several live recordings as bonus material.
Frontman and songwriter Marco Luponero reflects on the track’s unusual journey:
“One of the two studio outtakes available on the Deluxe Edition, ‘Tame The Dog’ is one of those numbers that eventually becomes something completely different from where the idea starts off. As the album started to take shape we couldn’t really find a place for the track among all the other songs. The first demo was actually just bass and vocals. At some point it became an acoustic track. But in the end we found it to be a perfect piece to play around with more electronically.”
Originally released in March 2025, Luponero’s debut album delivered an unrelenting burst of raw energy and a deep dive into the band’s central theme of “positive nihilism” — reflecting modern culture’s cocktail of resignation, absurdity, and humor in the face of chaos. Rooted in grunge, punk, classic rock, and synthwave, the record defies easy categorization, blending influences into an unpredictable and deeply resonant soundscape.
With Tame The Dog, Luponero once again demonstrate their restless creativity and refusal to stand still. The single builds on the sonic foundation of the debut while showing another side of the band’s ever-evolving artistry — pushing the edges of their sound with a more electronic touch.
Alongside the single and upcoming Deluxe Edition, Luponero will also head out on The Everywhere and Nowhere Matters Tour Pt. 2 in Finland this October — bringing with them Swedish rock trio Satan Takes A Holiday.
Tour dates:
Wed Oct. 1 — Helsinki, On the Rocks
Fri Oct. 3 — Pietarsaari, Black Sheep
Sat Oct. 4 — Kouvola, House of Rock
Hailing from Finland, Luponero is fronted by veteran musician Marco Luponero (formerly of Terrorwheel, Altaria, and Marco Luponero & The Loud Ones). Together, the trio has built a reputation for explosive energy, infectious melodies, and raw, unfiltered lyricism — a soundtrack to the chaos and beauty of modern life.
Tame The Dog is out now on all platforms. The Deluxe Edition of Luponero’s debut album arrives September 30th.
