CORRO releases new single 404 — diving headfirst into hyperpop and digital chaos
Stockholm-based alt-pop shapeshifter CORRO is back with a brand-new single, 404 — a glitchy, high-voltage track that marks his boldest stylistic leap to date. Released via Icons Creating Evil Art, the song blends hyperpop maximalism, digicore textures, and an alt-pop sensibility, pushing CORRO’s artistry into a more futuristic, digital-driven space.
On the new single, CORRO shares:
- “I’ve always wanted to get into more digital sounding music, especially stuff reminiscing styles around the early 2000s but still modern. I felt the time was perfect for me to try my wings on something new and I really like where it takes my creativity.”
404 feels like both a rupture and a reinvention — distorted beats collide with shimmering melodies, creating a sonic overload that mirrors the chaos of living in an always-online, post-Y2K reality. While past singles like Yo Quiero and SHINIGAMI leaned into bluesy grit and post-grunge intensity, 404 turns the volume up on CORRO’s restless experimentation, spotlighting his ability to cross boundaries without ever losing emotional honesty.
Since signing with Icons Creating Evil Art in 2019, CORRO has carved his own path through alt-pop and post-grunge, gradually building a reputation for fearless creativity and radical self-expression. His songs resonate with listeners navigating identity, mental health, and the overwhelming noise of modern life — all filtered through his signature mix of heavy beats, raw hooks, and unfiltered vulnerability.
Recent collaborations with artists like Ezekiel (hyperpop) and Boy Destroy (alt/emo) have already hinted at his expanding sonic universe. With 404, CORRO fully embraces a new digital frontier — one where chaos becomes catharsis, and emotional intensity cuts through the glitch.
404 is out now on all platforms.
