Washington DC based Visors team up with the Oslo-native WNDR to rework Fine Line featuring the incredible voice of London based singer-songwriter-producer Émilie Rachel. Released March 8 via Icons Creating Evil Art.
WNDR began developing his ear for beats and melodies at the age of just 10 years old after taking after his father and learning the art of DJing. You only have to look at WNDR’s discography to see the raw talent the Norwegian DJ and producer has.
At 32 years of age, WNDR has already put in two decades of work and gained a reputation for himself in the club scene of his hometown, landed Top 10 tracks in the UK and Ireland and toured heavily across Europe. He went platinum in Norway with his debut single ‘Medicine’ (nearing 5 million streams and still counting), and the song was also playlisted on Norwegian P3. He later went on to release ‘Human’ which went straight into NRK P3s playlist and ‘Higher - WNDR Remix’ by Lemaitre which got playlisted on Kiss FM, played on SiriusXM as well as grabbed the attention of well-renowned DJ Martin Garrix. WNDR has gone on to release more outstanding hits with industry-leading labels such as Crosswalk Records, Sony and Epic Tones Records.

Visors is a new-school, new wave re-imagination, helmed by longtime industry vet Jeff Martin, a musician and producer whose sound has been shaped by years of touring on all sides of the pond. Martin re-connected with longtime friend Daniel Biltmore, a DJ/producer who signed on after spending over a decade of tutelage under Chad Hugo of The Neptunes/N*E*R*D. Studio wizard Tom LoMacchio would throw his hat in as well, creating their own brand of retrofuturism along the way.
Here's how Jeff explains how the single Fine Line came about:
- "Meeting through mutual industry friend Dan Garber in 2022, Emilie began work on what Visors called the unfinishable song. In her first attempt, Emilies vocal took a string heavy 80s pop song originally titled "ET", to the more modern contemporary dance track "Fine Line". The unfinishable song just needed the right person to bring it home."
Émilie Rachel started off her journey having her first release on Lily Era with Simon Ashwood then leading on to working with Lithuania HQ having many releases showcasing her vocals, one being with Gaullins track ‘Take Over Control’ accumulating over 5 million streams. Realising she had a versatile ear for all kinds of genres within electronic music Émilie began working consistently with DJ’s and Producers keeping consistent releases.
Having many releases with Perfect Havoc one being ‘Become’ with Manston and Simms which lead her to perform on the main stage at Clockwork Orange in front of thousands of people. Émilie featured on Dope Ammo’s Album recently which had support from many of the greats within the DnB world, also had plays on Radio 1 with Rene La Vice. More recently this summer Émilie was featured on Toolrooms Ibiza Vol.2 Album with Kapowski among many other DJ’s. This also got a lot of support from Mark Knight and on Toolroom radio.
One of Émilies biggest achievements to date was to be on Will Taylor’s Dance Zone EP with her track Parachute this was released on Abode Records. Émilie has many other releases to mention and doesn’t show any sign of stopping.
