A radiant fusion of dream pop, indie pop, and dream-funk atmospherics

Visors and JORDANN join forces for Gold on the Wings a glowing, weightless blend of dream pop shimmer and indie-funk pulse, released via Icons Creating Evil Art. The collaboration unites two distinct creative worlds: Visors, the retro-futurist project led by longtime industry veteran Jeff Martin alongside producer/DJ Daniel Biltmore, and JORDANN, the Montréal-based artist known for his emotionally vivid, soft-focus songwriting.
Built on warm synth textures, floating melodies, and rhythm lines that glide rather than push, Gold on the Wings explores the blur between motion and feeling — the way speed can clear a mind rather than clutter it. For JORDANN, the track speaks to a strange and therapeutic form of surrender:
“‘Gold On The Wings’ depicts the oblivion of oneself after reaching a certain velocity — it is an ode to the physics of speed. The theory is simple: something precious happens beyond the threshold of 120 km/h. One needs to be so attentive to their narrow field of vision that they cannot ponder any other thought. Their mind is just empty, and I believe there are therapeutic benefits to this sentiment. I call it self motor-cation.”
Visors bring their signature new-school/new-wave sensibility — shaped by years of touring and a creative lineage touching Bentley Rhythm Ace, will.i.am, The Sugarcubes, YATTE, Chrystabell, and longtime collaborator Chad Hugo of The Neptunes/N*E*R*D. Their retro-futurist palette meets JORDANN’s introspective tone, resulting in a track that feels expansive yet intimate, weightless yet grounded.
