Texas visionary Ishi joins forces with Cure For Paranoia for So Serious — where techno, rap, and horror collide. Out October 31st via Icons Creating Evil Art

Texas visionary Ishi joins forces with Cure For Paranoia for So Serious — a menacingly hypnotic Halloween anthem where techno, rap, and horror collide. Released October 31 via Swedish indie powerhouse Icons Creating Evil Art, the single merges eerie synths, thunderous basslines, and razor-sharp bars into a cinematic late-night descent that’s equal parts Friday the 13th and Warehouse Rave.

Described by Ministry of Sound as a pioneer of “Dallas Disco,” Ishi continues to evolve his hybrid of nu-disco, house, and darkwave influences with a distinctly emotional edge. Following his recent singles I’m A Mystic and Fall Into Me, So Serious reveals a heavier, more shadow-drenched dimension to his sound — a perfect fit for the haunted season.

Featuring Cure For Paranoia’s charismatic frontman Cameron McCloud, So Serious bridges Ishi’s electronic mysticism with McCloud’s sharp, emotive lyricism. Known for their explosive live shows and fearless creativity, Cure For Paranoia are Dallas’s boundary-defying hip-hop collective blending soul, rap, funk, and jazz into anthems of empowerment and self-discovery. The collaboration came naturally — a shared Texas lineage and a mutual drive to push sound beyond its comfort zone.

The result is a darkly ecstatic club weapon, steeped in cinematic tension and swaggering confidence — the track for Halloween clubbing season 2025.

So Serious is available on all platforms October 31st.
