Test Dept. remix the Majestoluxe track Assertive Indifference. Released September 6th via Icons Creating Evil Art (Industrial / Electro / Dark Electronic)
Majestoluxe, the enigmatic figurehead of Stockholms underground electronic scene, released his new captivating EP titled "Stolid State" earlier this summer. The release marked the start of the artist’s new collaboration with Stockholm-based Boutique Label Icons Creating Evil Art, which also is the home of genre-sibling EMMON. With this new offering, Majestoluxe promised bass lines covered in concrete dust and beats infested with severe rust damage. Now he follows the EP up with the second of two remix collaboration; this first one was from the French duo Maman Küsters. This new remix is a dark industrial piece by Test Dept.; a British industrial music group from London, England, that is one of the most important and influential early industrial music acts.
Majestoluxe comments:
- "Test Dept. are one of the most important founders of Industrial Music, and they've had a profound influence on my own way of making music. Hence, I'm extremely excited and proud to let one of my tracks get the Test. Dept treatment. And I couldn't be happier with the result - the drums, the horns, it's all in there!"
Gray Cunnington of the Test Dept collective comments:
- "Sonic material handlers, investigative agitators, authentic industrialists, utilisers and recyclers of society's debris, Test Dept have re-emerged in recent years exploring new ways of expression in a strategic programme of actions to engage with the current cultural, social and political climate. The group have recently made a new live work commissioned by the political arts organisation a/political entitled Furnace and are currently working on the studio album to go with that work."

At the core of Majestoluxe's sonic arsenal lies a massive modular synth system, exclusively utilized to craft each composition on the Stolid State EP. The result is an intriguing fusion of noisy techno and experimental electroacoustic art music, that transport listeners back to the raw energy of 80's industrial and Electronic Body Music (EBM). Since emerging onto the scene in 2019, Majestoluxe, also known as Conny Fornbäck, has garnered widespread acclaim for three critically acclaimed albums. Audience and critics alike have been captivated by his unapologetically punky attitude, coupled with mesmerizing visuals, showcased in live performances across Europe and Central America.
"Assertive Indifference (Test Dept. Remix)" is released on all major streaming platforms September 6th via Icons Creating Evil Art.
