Teeth (1) / Springtime 2160 is a double A-side single from The Band Formerly Known As Tribe Friday — the quietly triumphant return of Swedish alt-rock outfit Tribe Friday Dropping Oct. 10th via Icons Creating Evil Art.

Swedish alt-rock/indie outfit Tribe Friday are back with their new double single Teeth (1) / Springtime 2160, released October 10, 2025 via Icons Creating Evil Art, and also announce their return to the stage with a run of German and Swiss tour dates in February 2026.

The two tracks mark the first glimpse of the upcoming EP The Band Formerly Known As Tribe Friday, a quietly triumphant return to collaborative writing after years of near-burnout, lineup changes, and personal upheaval. Written and recorded together in a rural Swedish studio, the songs channel both existential dread and absurdist humor into raw, melodic alt-rock.

On Teeth (1), frontman Noah Deutschmann finds himself at 23, exhausted and self-aware, clinging to music while watching friends move on with their lives — wisdom teeth erupting as a metaphor for late-coming adulthood. Anchored by shimmering guitars and sharp wit, it’s both deeply personal and instantly relatable: “a coming-of-(almost)-age story for anyone who’s ever felt left behind in their own life”

On Springtime 2160, the band looks a century ahead, imagining a glossy corporate dystopia where sex with humans is obsolete, Trump is in his 33rd term, and artistic fulfillment is an app feature. Both surreal and strangely hopeful, it’s Tribe Friday at their most sarcastic and sonically sharp — “too ugly and flawed for computers to do,” as Noah puts it

Formed as a scrappy after-school project in a small Swedish town, Tribe Friday have grown into one of Sweden’s most exciting indie exports. They’ve toured internationally with acts like Wheatus and Mother Mother, played SXSW and Reeperbahn, and built a reputation for infectious energy onstage and reflective depth on record

Now, refreshed and reformed as Noah Deutschmann (vocals/guitar), Isak Gunnarsson (guitar/vocals), David Engquist (drums), and Erik Lyding (bass), Tribe Friday are setting out once again — this time on their own terms.
