Swedish metal band Sister releases new single 'The Way We Fall' - a last-minute title that perfectly captures the overarching theme of the upcoming album, showcasing a heavier and darker side of the band.
Get ready to crank it up - Sister is back with a vengeance! They’re finally unleashing the first single from their highly anticipated upcoming album, and this time it’s under their new record label Icons Creating Evil Art.
First out from the album is the title track The Way We Fall, which is the ultimate tease of what’s to expect. Louder, heavier and angrier than ever before.
“This last-minute title perfectly captures the overarching theme of the album, showcasing a heavier and darker side of the band. ‘The Way We Fall’ describes exactly where Sister is today: heavy, raw, and straightforward, yet still thoughtful and profound. This is truly the sound we have been searching for, and this dystopian anthem all about that final moment when you’re standing at a crossroads, choosing to put it all on red…” - Sister about the title track The Way We Fall.
Sister first started to take shape back in 2006 and unleashed their debut EP, Deadboys Making Noise, in 2009. Fast forward 15 years, and this powerhouse release is getting the celebration it deserves with a newly pressed vinyl edition, complete with an exclusive T-shirt from the band’s own merch line, Dead Fashion Industries. That limited edition sold out in less than 24 hours - talk about a collector's dream!
The band’s latest and fourth full-length album, Vengeance Ignited, dropped in 2021 and was met with rave reviews from both press and fans alike. However, the excitement was tempered by frustration as the pandemic threw a wrench in their touring plans. But there was a silver lining! In January 2022, HBO featured Sister’s track Would You Love a Creature in their DC Comics series Peacemaker, giving the band's streaming numbers a massive boost and putting them firmly on the map in the U.S. rock scene. Following the new album release, the plan is to hit the road as much as possible. We’re thrilled to announce that Sister is preparing an epic show, that will get you all totally fired up!
