Sweden's Electro/EBM Queen EMMON, following her success on the award-winning comeback album RECON from 2022 with the new album “EMMON - ICON”
On October 17th, EMMON once again steps into the spotlight with her highly anticipated album ICON – a natural yet powerful follow-up to the multi-award-winning RECON. The melodic EBM and electronic signature that has defined her music has now taken on a harder drive, shaped into a sound built to dominate the live stage.
Emma: “Since the latest release 2022, I’ve basically been on tour, and the stage has become my obvious habitat. Together with my co-producer and partner Jimmy Monell (producer for, among others, KITE on Ice), we’ve developed the music to be more energy-driven – something that gives both us and the audience a serious kick on stage”
ICON offers exciting collaborations with other artists such as Majestoluxe, Jukka Rintamäki (Silverbullit, The Northern East), Person:A and once again Emanuel Åström (Agent Side Grinder).
Emma: “This album is like a kaleidoscope of all our musical influences spanning decades, but presented in a more modern suit. We draw freely from the heritage of electronic music and then shape our own personal sound”.
Where RECON was a journey of building and reshaping both the person Emma and the artist EMMON, ICON stands as a confident manifesto – a foundation of strength, creativity, and unyielding presence.
Emma: “The period before RECON came alive was not a good one for me. A serious infection and a long period of intense work led to exhaustion and several surgeries. In the end, the doctors literally had to drill a hole in my head – a decisive measure that made recovery possible. But what truly became my salvation was finding my way back to creativity – and the pure joy of making music again”.
With ICON, EMMON stands grounded. She knows her abilities, she knows exactly what she wants to express – and that certainty is pure power. On stage, when she fully steps into her live persona, all that energy accumulates, transforming her into a mutated hybrid of Annie Lennox, Trent Reznor, and Elvis Presley – uncompromising, magnetic, and impossible to ignore.
