Malmö’s Electro-Punk Riot – THE GUILT Returns with New Single Our Feline House Released June 13th via Icons Creating Evil Art

Malmö’s Electro-Punk Riot – THE GUILT Returns with New Single "Our Feline House" Out Friday 13 June.
“Think 2Unlimited bumping into Sisters of Mercy at a Bikini Kill show.”

Sweden’s fiercest dark disco power unit, The Guilt, are back and louder than ever with Our Feline House, their razor-sharp new single dropping Friday 13 June – a date as ominous as their dancefloor-fueled fury. This queer electro-punk riot grrrl duo from Malmö brings sweat, synths, and shredding rage to the surface in a sonic anthem for the freaks and geeks.

With Emma Anitchka (vocals, machines, knives) snarling at the helm and the unstoppable Lizzy (ex-Ragata, Arre Arre!) on guitar/bass—equal parts punk tornado and Formula 1 trivia queen — The Guilt is setting a brutal, beautiful tone for 2025. Their latest output is a thumping, invitation to celebrate not being straight.

"Many felines in the house tonight / Nothing’s straight, everything’s alright”

Our Feline House is more than a track—it’s a crude handwritten invitation to those sick and tired of fighting for a space. An invitation to a house party in full queer bloom. Expect no-wave disco, electroclash, body punk, and everything in between. It's dancefloor anger management for anyone screaming while dancing.

Our Feline House started with the subject of cats, then friends, then came the party. It all became wrapped up in the feeling of “our house, our rules”, because the world can suck without us. We can’t control everything, but we can take care of each other.

After shaking 2023 with their EP Note to Tape (featuring remixes by GHLOW, ABU NEIN, and 100BLUMEN), The Guilt is ramping up for a full-throttle 2025. Newly signed to the label Icons Creating Evil Art their upcoming third album promises garage goth ballads, power punk beats, queer anthems, and songs for “pretty basic witches.”

Discography Highlights:
Dance to the Revolution (2016, Suicide Records)
The Guilt (2017, Heptown Records)
New Knives (Album, 2020, Heptown Records)
Note to Tape (2023, Unifang Productions – Cassette only)
