The Queen of Death Gospel; Louise Lemón unveil new single Shattered Heart Released September 21 via Icons Creating Evil Art
Louise Lemón is back with a new album early 2024. An album she's written on her own, recorded with her band and then re-connected with Randall Dunn for mix/mastering (known for his work with Thurston Moore, Zola Jesus, Sunn O))), Marissa Nadler, Anna Von Hausswolff and many more).
The single Shattered Heart is our second taste of what's to come after she dropped the news of the new album end of July together with the single Midsummer Night. Commenting on the new single Louise Lemón says;
- "I wrote the first line of this song on a plane in the middle of the sky just hours after something that felt like a gunshot straight through my heart. It’s also the first song I wrote for this album and it is just as much that overpowering feeling of a shattered heart as the feeling of not wanting something, of finally being able to see someone with clarity. It is so straight forward but still very spiritual, my whole spirit is in it, both the darkest parts but also the parts that rise above and that takes all the pieces of a shattered heart and make it even more warm, more loving, for a love that lasts. "
Louise Lemón's two previous albums; Purge (2018) and A Broken Heart Is An Open Heart (2019) and the 'Devil' EP has all been embraced by both the mainstream and the rock and metal world and has gained her the title 'the Queen of Death Gospel'. Louise found herself the subject of numerous reviews and features across the world’s press; including major pieces in multiple country editions of Metal Hammer (including an invitation to their prestigious ‘Golden Gods’ awards), Powerplay, Revolver Magazine, Zero Tolerance, Close-Up, Sonic Seducer, Orkus, Gaffa and many more…
She's done a European tour with Sólstafir (IS), several performances at Eurosonic ESNS (NL), a celebrated performance at Roadburn Festival (NL), Wave Gotik Treffen (DE) and separate tours in Scandinavia and Spain.
The new single Shattered Heart is released digitally 21 September on the Swedish label Icons Creating Evil Art.
