Genre-bending metalcore band Horror Dance Squad team up with dark drum & bass producers Zardonic and Code: Pandorum to rework their Taste of Doom single Released August 7 on Icons Creating Evil Art
Horror Dance Squad has been blasting stages throughout the Baltics and beyond since 2014. Hailing from Tallinn, Estonia, the band unapologetically blends metalcore and punk with vibrant electronics and delivers it to their audiences with unforgettable ferocity and contagious energy.
Their new album All I See Is Black (May 2024, Out Of Breath Records) has brought the band to new heights, earning “Album of the Week” on Raadio 2, Estonia’s naitonal public radio station, and receiving a 4/5 review in the popular Eesti Ekspress. Produced by Federico Ascari (Within Destruction, Signs Of The Swarm), the album is a culmination of the band’s decade-long experimentation with electronic metal and showcases their most genre-bending work to date.
Horror Dance Squad consist of members Karl Mesipuu (vocals) Ian Karell (vocals) Indrek Ulp (Guitar) Mikk Peetrimägi (Guitar/Bass) Henri Kuusk / Spruciety (Drums/electronics)
The Swedish indie label Icons Creating Evil Art met the band at Tallinn Music Week earlier this year, and they were signed for two collaborative releases where they would merge their experimental metalcore with dark drum & bass producer Zardonic. The first of these two planned releases is a rework of their single Taste of Doom where Zardonic invited Code: Pandorum to join the team. The Taste of Doom remix drops August 7 on Icons Creating Evil Art.
- “We love the combination of heavy riffs and crazy electronics. The remix with Zardonic and Code Pandorum is just such a perfect combination of these things. We love it!”, Henri Kuusk, drummer and producer of HDS.

The clash of disparate elements activates innovation, and every generation brings us timeless figures who accidentally spark a new revolutionary sound within the music world. Chuck Berry mixed jazz, blues, gospel and country music to create Rock N Roll. A few decades later, Ozzy Osbourne turned up the gain to create Heavy Metal. And since the early 2000s, Federico Ágreda Álvarez, the masked performer known to the world as DJ and producer Zardonic, has harnessed the power of the nexus between Drum & Bass and Heavy Metal to create the sound that is now known as Metal & Bass.
Born and raised in Venezuela, inspired by America, and based in Germany with a passport book stamped into oblivion, he also represents a union of cultures. Following a prolific string of releases, remixes for Pop Evil, Fear Factory, Bullet For My Valentine and Sonic Syndicate, video game soundtracks for Superhot: Mind Control Delete and Redout 2, plus features on All Elite Wrestling, TNT and NBC Sports, packed shows on multiple continents, and 100 million-plus streams, he realized the power and potential of his vision like never before on his 2023 full-length offering Superstars [MNRK HEAVY].
“I’m blessed enough to be able to do what I love the most, and that is Music. Music is my own form of self-healing. It allows me to float above the darkness. Maybe, it will do the same for you.”

Code: Pandorum is a character telling the stories of a dystopian future. Blending analog and digital production as well as elements of different genres he manages to create a never heard soundscape that immediately vaults the listener into a movie-like experience.
Having left an indeniable mark with official remixes for artists like Illenium, Apashe, Celldweller, and a track record featuring releases on Sony, Universal, and Disciple, this dark and powerful musical project is back in full force. Collaborating with fellow boundary-breakers such as Muerte, Ghostkid, Kai Wachi, and more, Code: Pandorum's comeback is not just an event—it's a seismic shift in the musical landscape. Brace yourself for a return that's not about theatrics or grandiosity but a gritty, raw resurgence into the heart of the bass-driven underworld.
