EMMECOSTA UNVEIL PENSIVE POST-CLUB TRACK ‘LAEK’ OUT 10TH MARCH 2023

Atmospheric dream pop three-piece Emmecosta are returning with fresh new single ‘Laek’, dropping after recently released tracks ‘UmaybeU’ and ‘Effort’ on 10th March 2023 through boutique label Icons Creating Evil Art. Their debut album ‘Overnight’ is due to be released on 14th April 2023.

Hailing from the small Italian town of Positano, the post-club outfit has been based in Sweden for the past seven years. Now self-proclaimed Swedish nationals, two thirds of the trio have followed their Italian roots back to Milan as the group discovered a new found need to portray and develop their Swedish/Italian link through their forthcoming work. Now the trio is preparing for the long awaited release of their debut album, 'Overnight', with ‘Laek’ being their fourth and final release before the album drops.

Reminiscent of Bon Iver, the track is in keeping with the more melancholic and delicate nature of the trio’s self-proclaimed ‘post-club tropical’ sound. The largely acoustic single elicits feelings of walking home alone after a night out accompanied by only the sunlight and your thoughts, a feeling that the three-piece have wanted to draw on throughout their album as a whole. The crescendo of track incorporates low-key synths, with the strong yet soft vocals drawing the track to a pensive and ruminative close, much like the end of a night in real time.

Their debut album ‘Overnight’ which has a release date slated for 14th April 2023.
